There are four types of licence to access the Operam Academy Learning Platform: INDIVIDUAL for one learner, TEAM for 10 to 50 learners, ACADEMY for 100 or more, and ENTERPRISE for organizations that deliver the content through their own learning platform. Add-ons extend a TEAM or ACADEMY Licence.
How licences work
Every licence gives each learner a Learning Passport to the Learning Platform. A Learning Passport runs to the end of the licence term, so one allocated two months in gives ten months’ access. The feature comparison below shows what each licence includes.
All prices are in GBP, exclude VAT and cover a 12-month term unless stated.
INDIVIDUAL Licence
£219 +VAT for one learner, for 12 months.
One Learning Passport, the full IM Practitioner Track and everything else on the Learning Platform. The IM Practitioner Certification is included, with no separate certification fee.
TEAM and ACADEMY Licences
Each licence comes with the number of Learning Passports in its name, one for each learner. If you need more during the year, add Additional Learning Passports at the price in the third column.

20% off with a 3-year licence
Planning your organization’s information management training over more than one year? A 3-year ACADEMY or ENTERPRISE Licence costs 20% less than three 12-month terms. One agreement covers the whole period, so there’s no renewal to arrange each year.
Which licence do you need?
Pricing is volume-based: the more Learning Passports a licence carries, the less each one costs. Start from the number of learners who need access this year. Between tiers, a smaller licence plus Additional Learning Passports usually costs less: 12 learners is TEAM 10 plus two passports, £1,979 +VAT, rather than TEAM 25 at £3,299 +VAT.
Close to the next tier, moving up can be better value, leaving spare Learning Passports for new starters during the year. At 18 learners, TEAM 10 plus eight passports is £2,969 +VAT. TEAM 25 is £3,299 +VAT and gives you seven more.
ENTERPRISE Licence
The ENTERPRISE Licence delivers Operam Academy content through your organization’s own learning platform, for organizations that already run one. Learners follow the same IM Practitioner Track and meet the same certification requirements. Prices depend on the number of learners, as shown below.
A 3-year ENTERPRISE Licence costs 20% less than three 12-month terms.

Add Learning Passports at any point in the term, at the price for the tier you hold, shown in the licence table above. They aren’t pro-rated, and they expire with your licence. At renewal you choose again how many Learning Passports you need.

Reporting and configuration: the L&D Pack and L&D Pack Lite
Every ACADEMY Licence includes the L&D Pack at no extra charge.
On a TEAM Licence, reporting is a one-time purchase. You pay once and keep it at every renewal.

What happens after you buy
Your 12-month term starts when you buy. Each learner activates their Learning Passport the first time they log in to the Learning Platform, and it then stays with them for the rest of the term.
Once your licence is active, we’ll send you a Passport Allocation Form to tell us who you’d like to enrol. Simply provide each learner’s first name, last name and email address, then return the completed form to us.
You don’t need to add everyone at once. You can send learner details in batches throughout your licence term as and when you’re ready.
Once we receive your completed form, we’ll enrol the learners onto the Learning Platform. Each learner will then receive a welcome email with their login details and instructions on how to access the platform.
Questions about prices
Do your prices include tax?
No. Every price on this page is in GBP and excludes tax. Tax is added as applicable, depending on where you’re located, at checkout or on your invoice.
Can we pay in another currency?
Yes. We can invoice in major currencies, at the exchange rate on the day of invoicing. Email sales@operamacademy.com to find out more.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes. INDIVIDUAL and TEAM Licences can be bought online by card, and any licence can also be bought on an Order Form and paid by invoice.
Does my licence renew automatically?
No. A licence runs for 12 months and ends on its renewal date unless you choose to renew. We send reminders from about 90 days before, and renewal is at the price current at the time. An L&D Pack or L&D Pack Lite stays with the licence and isn’t charged again.
Can I get a refund?
Licence charges are non-refundable, except where your statutory rights as a consumer apply, which is why the 7-day trial lets you try the Learning Platform first.
What does the 7-day trial open?
A selection of courses for you to take for a test drive, free for seven days, with no card needed. You get a CPD certificate for each course you complete. Trial progress doesn’t count towards the certification. Buy an INDIVIDUAL Licence and the trial converts to a full licence.
Is there an academic discount?
Yes. Anyone studying at an academic institution, and the institutions themselves, can get 40% off every licence. Eligibility is checked by academic email address. The discount applies to licences only.
