When one person holds the knowledge, every project waits for them – and in a large organization, people in different offices and regions often have their own understanding of how new ways of working should be put in place.
A closed cohort brings a group of your people through the pathway together. They build a shared understanding of how to make the case for managing information, using the same methods, and close working relationships with each other along the way. So the conversation with clients, colleagues and leadership doesn’t depend on one person any more.
Your People
Including up to four named people from outside your organization, such as a client or supply-chain partner.
Your Dates
You choose the session dates and times, with the Kick-off Session within three months of purchase, subject to facilitator availability.
Your Context
Stakeholders, topics and worked examples can be shaped around the way your organization works.
Your Projects or Appointments
Every Pathway Project looks at work your organization has completed. You can assign projects or appointments to get a cross-section of your work.

“I was completely surprised by how much work the team had put into redesigning the sessions specifically for us. Instead of generic information-provider-focused training, it felt like a customised workshop.”
Yi Lu, Digital Engineering Coordinator, KiwiRail
Five facilitated modules over 24 weeks, each ending in a four-hour live session, with a Pathway Project running alongside. Every live session is run by an experienced Operam Academy facilitator.
1
Weeks 1 to 4, live session in week 4
Build and deliver a value proposition for managing information, adapted to the stakeholders in front of you. You finish with a 5-minute pitch.
2
Weeks 5 to 8, live session in week 8
Explain the information management process to people who aren’t specialists. No jargon, and nothing distorted.
3
Weeks 9 to 12, live session in week 12
Use simple, structured techniques to map what could go wrong with information, why, and what stops it, then explain that to a project or business audience.
4
Weeks 13 to 16, live session in week 16
Make the case for change in 60 seconds. Then handle the resistance that follows, in a live role-play.
5
Weeks 17 to 20, live session in week 20
Work out what an organization needs in place to move from ad-hoc to repeatable, and draft a policy and a one-page plan for a pilot project.

One fixed price for the whole cohort: £17,999 +VAT.

A verifiable digital credential for each delegate who completes, which doesn’t expire.

Evidence you can show auditors, clients and bid assessors: a team that holds the IM Professional Certification demonstrates your organization’s information management capability and capacity.

A money-back guarantee for the group after the first module.

Funding may be available: CITB-registered UK employers may be able to claim a grant, and employers in Ireland may be able to use CITA Skillnet.
The value doesn’t end at the Wrap-up Session. Every delegate produces a value proposition, a plain-language explainer and a reflective case study based on your own work. Your organization keeps them, and can reuse them for lessons learned and knowledge sharing long after the pathway.

You may be able to. Operam Academy is CITB registered, so UK employers that pay the CITB levy may be able to claim grant funding. Employers in Ireland may be able to access funding through CITA Skillnet. If there’s another scheme you’d like to use, talk to us and we’ll look at it with you.
A closed cohort needs a minimum of eight delegates, and we prefer an even number. Below 12, you have three options. Run the closed cohort with eight or more of your own people, at the same fixed price. Fill spare places with up to four named people from outside your organization, such as a client or supply-chain partner. Or, with fewer than eight people, book places on an open cohort instead, at £1,799 +VAT each, where they’ll learn alongside practitioners from other organizations. See the IM Professional Pathway
